Will work on the costs for the needs and send to you early next week.
Current short term priority projects are care at CRM, additional tank for CRM and toilet at Dago Thim.
At Obede, there has been lack of cooperation from parents and committee in payment of cooks for the feeding programme and purchase of firewood. It has been difficult to pay the cooks hence the current headmaster stopped the lunches. The last feedstuff we delivered were not used and we are planning to collect them and probably use at CRM.
The heavy rains have started already - since 15th this month and may continue to about 10th June. The tank we proposed for CRM is 6000 litres costing about Kshs. 35,000 together with the accessories. However if funds shall be limiting we can go for 3000 litres which costs Kshs. 21,700 together with accessories, but the storage will still not last long.
We are likely to be in need of more funds from end of next week.
Caren
Thank you for the update. Please tell George how sorry we all are for his loss. I will come to see you in late June or early July. So glad you are feeling better
Very best, Margee
Hullo Veronica, Margee and Chacon,
Quite nice to hear from you. I am already quite o.k. and back to normal activities. We also need to really apologise for having been late on communication log. We seem to have switched off at end of March because George lost his son abruptly at home and we got engaged. Somehow, after this, the easter holidays also slowed down activities.
However currently we have settled back. Tobias will be sending the expenditure log probably this evening. Meanwhile we shall go through the list of prioroty needs and get you the feedback soon.
Yours
Caren
Dear Caren and Tobias:
Please accept my apologies for being out of touch the past couple of weeks.
I started a new communication log for April, in week two; hopefully we can pick back up where we left off. I also attached the list of needs you provided in February to confirm that needs, costs and priority are current.
Caren, how are you feeling? We all hope you are recovering well.
Very best, Veronica
That is great news about potential land for CRM development. Please keep us posted.
Will try to work on the water tank. Could you provide us with an idea of when the heavy rains are expected? Is the water tank and accessories cost the same as previously discussed (21,600 /=)?
To assist the future, short-term fundraising effort, could you prioritize the few projects you have at the moment - the latrine installation at Obede and Dago Thim, the feeding program at Obede and Dago Thim and CRM orphan needs. Unfortunately, we are still at the stage where we don't have continuous funding, so we want to be sure we have sufficient funds before embarking on the major projects and that the most urgent needs are fulfilled first.
