Dear Veronica,
Attached please find communication log for March week 3.
Nb: Sorry again for the lateness, we had problems with power in Kisumu most of yesterday and internet was down.
Regards,
Tobias
Dear all,
Pleased to inform you that the wire transfer went through. We checked yesterday and found our standard bank account credited. Thanks so much.

Tobias

Dear Tobias-
Thank you for the communication log. I am so sorry to hear of Caren's illness; please keep us updated on her condition when you can and send her our best.
Just a few items I wanted to respond to immediately: Yes, because Dr. Bertrand will give you money for George's salary, please do not take his salary out of the recently sent funds as discussed previously.
Regarding the latrines at Obede and Dago Thim and the Dago Thim feeding program, I think we would all agree that we would like to move forward with all, but funding from us is still limited and sporadic, at least in the short to medium term. Do you have an estimate for the latrine construction? Perhaps we could do one at a time, if that does not interfere with your coordination of construction/workers/materials.
Regarding the funds wire, our account reports that the transfer has completed from our end so hopefully you will see it in your account.
I would hate for Scholastica to waste a trip out to the bank.
Very best, Veronica
Dear Veronica,
Thanks so much for all that effort. We are sending Scholastica to go and check, although we think that it will as you say, take some few days. Lets all hope that wiring direct will work out. Attached please find the communication log for week ending 24th (yesterday).
Meanwhile Caren has been sick (probably you saw on my e-mail to Margee copied to you) for the past 3 days and most of yesterday I was assisting her and her husband to get to the hospital

Additional water tank for CRM.
Rose Jakoyo called and informed us that she already received (today) US $ 300 for Georges salaries.
Heavy rains season in western Kenya is just beginning and we would like to purchase an additional water tank for CRM during the time to store water for coming dry season.
We are negotiating with some individuals in the villages who have indicated willingness to offer some land free to be given to CRM for development.
Schools in Kenya shall be closing for April vacations from next week.
Feeding programme at Obede continued.

Clearing of last week's issues that are still pending
Continuation of feedings programme at Obede
Feeding programme at Obede continued.
We may start the above on small scale, for example diggers can start doing the holes and then we will be engaging on subsequent stages as time goes and as we receive the funds.
We have plans of going to Dago Thim to officially introduce ourselves to the rest staff and board, however, should we go a head or wait untill you confirm to us when we could start activities there (this depends on availability of funds.
Tobias and Caren
Bill Bertrand will be in Nairobi next week and has some money from me for George. Could someone possibly make it to pick it up on Monday afternoon? As soon as I get a cell number for Bill I will send it to you PLease let me know if this is possible
Thank you, Margee
Dear Tobias:
Please find updates for the week attached. I transferred $1000.00 into the Standard Chartered, Ltd. account today using the services of our bank.
After a bit of probing, I learned that our bank in the US, Chase, has an ongoing dispute with Western Union, which explains a lot of the problems we've had over the past month.
Also, the swift code you provided is not correct for transferring money from the US (perhaps it is for domestic transfers?). For future reference, the correct swift code for transferring money from the US is XXXXXXXX. Please confirm with me when you receive the funds in the account, as it may take a few days, and I will also track it from our end.
Best, Veronica

Payment of George's salary
Payment of outstanding bills
CRM activities continued as usual.
We have had lots of rains here and still more will come in the normal rainy season of April so at Tf we want to conduct community sensitizations on planting vegetables.
We want to try above through volunteerism among ourselves.
We still receive demands for support of more orphans but we refer them to try later ifncase we will have the capacities.
It is fine if you could give us some space in your new upcoming web, please let us know how this can be done.
Just to confirm again about financial communications, are they due only month ends or also weeks.
Hi Veronica,
Hope you are all fine. I'm really do apologise for delaying in communication for last week. I had a journey to south western Kenya where there were no internet connections and only managed to be back yesterday.
No much is new on last weeks com log apart from issues of the final week of February, since most had not been attended to.
For the accounts, it is fine we can still do with Western Union for the time being. We only hope that the routine will be solved so that things are simplified.
Greeting to all,
Tobias

Please use part of these funds for George's salary for the next three months
Please see the revised financial log on the next sheet with added rows. If more rows are needed, let me know.
Regarding the agri-livestock proposal, we have not found a funder but continue to search
Regarding the website, I will bring this up with the board, but I can tell you that with our new website launch (April 1) I am quite certain that we can give you your own page on our website
Regarding my travel plans, I may have to postpone until later this year, probably December. I do believe Margee will be visiting soon and I will update you when I know when.
Hi Veronica,
Hope all are fine. We have been hearing of tornadoes arround California. Ourselves we are fine. I have hereby attached the communication log for this week. Unfortunately it was not so easy to include the expenditures as I have stated in the communications log. You'll probably get them next week once you make the adjustmets. Meanwhile I have also attached more photoes of beneficiaries of the mosquito nets which I did not managed to attach last time.
Regards,
Tobias

Payment of outstanding bills on feeding programme.
Payment of George's allowances.
We have been developing a web site but are limited by hosting fees. This is very important for publicity.
I tried making entries on financial log but not succeding due to few rows; food and cooking supplies and the domestic supplies rows need to be increased as purchases are frequent especially perishables which are bought on per week and per day bases.
I'll do the financials after modifications of the rows to accept more entries.
We are in need of funds replenishment for activities for coming week. We only have less than Kshs. 10,000 balance.
Could GlobalEyes assist us to fund website?
Are your plans of coming to Kenya still on, and when if so?
