Dear Veronica,
I've been going through the requirements and procedures for registration with the IRS for tax exemptions from the link you gave me. It would indeed be important that Tropical focus get registered - this would probably encourage more donations. I've compared the required status with the prospectus (articles of organization) of Tropical focus and found them eligible. I'll proceed to organize to complete the forms so that we submit.
On the side of contacts, this also will be really important. What would be the best way of going about this; in terms of name of office (liaison office, US office, regional iffice, etc) if necessary, title of contact person, responsibilities, TORs, etc - I suggest the contact be "DIRECTOR ......us liaison office? And I suggest you be the one because you are already assisting alot in this direction.
Another item is that Tropical focus as well as the children's home still both do not have web sites. I had wanted to set up but backed up due to uncertainty of source of funds to maintain subscriptions. But if more donations come then I would go ahead.
