The faculty and staff at William J. Johnston Middle School in Colchester, Connecticut collect money for the “privilege” of wearing jeans every Friday. Each year, these funds are pooled and then donated to a charity of their choice. For 2007, the kind folks at William J. Johnston have so graciously dedicated their Casual Friday donation to GlobalEyes. We are so very thrilled to have been selected for this innovative and generous donation! The $1205 raised by the William J. Johnston faculty and staff was immediately applied to emergency relief for students and families affected by civil unrest following the presidential elections at the end of 2007.
